Part of my conversation sketches, this is called “slightly flat conversation.”
After listening to Vel’s reaction to the initial audio, here is a new, but still unfinished version.
Vel has added his ethereal guitars to create v.1 of The one that begins on a spaceship. V.0 of The one that begins on a spaceship was posted back in October of last year. Vel also wins first prize in response time…huzzah!
I think this really changes the feel of the song, I’ll post a v.2 tomorrow which has tweaks and even adjustments in reaction to this new part.

This is my first recording of the new 4-string. Technically a 6-string again, but two of the strings are coupled…
Twang Scuffle is another one from the Howl & Hornswoggle vault. This is back from 2006.
It seems that the clandestine band of musical buccaneers is lost at sea, perhaps the Devil’s Triangle, perhaps another dastardly shape…
Being the drunken captain of this ghost ship I thought I would post some old recordings, from way back when I was a lonely kayaker…not sure where to go with the metaphor…
This is Cartographer, pretty much my first Howl & Hornswoggle effort.

Track #5: How the Fanfare Won the War [v.0]
On this track:
d.foote: trumpets, toy bulbul, cigar box guitar, 4-string guitar, whistles
About this track:
This song was created in 2008 as an intro to a Torch Singer song called How the West Was Won. The lineup has shifted around a bit over the last two years and that song was lost along the way. I think this is when I was trying out nylon strings on the guitar… I’ve always had a strong affinity for this song and would like to see something happen with it. And there it is, the Boondoggle…
